Guida Joseph

Born in Amsterdam, 1949.
At the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam she studies Graphic Design and Illustration.
With teachers like Piet Klaasse, Herman Gordijn, Melle, Lex Metz, Charles Jongejans.
After graduating she moves to London to do a training period with Conran Design and Saatchi & Saatchi.
And as a freelance illustrator she works for the Daily Telegraph Magazine, Fabbri & Fabbri and Nova Magazine.
Back in Holland she works for several magazines and publishers.
Then she makes the journey of her life.
Two years traveling in a jeep through Africa.

She falls in love with Africa and meets the future father of her children.
Together they move to Umbria, Italy and live in an old farmhouse surrounded by animals and nature.
That is where her children David and Milos are born.

When they leave home she decides to do something with her experience as a mother, traveler and illustrator.
With the idea of working with disadvantaged children she does a master in Artherapy with Stefania Guerra Lisi (Globalita dei Linguaggi) in Rome.
She also starts painting.
Fish-water-silence.
In 2010 she has an exhibition at the Open Art Fair in Utrecht, Holland.
She works, lives and travels between Amsterdam and a hill in Umbria, Italy.
